Zayn wrote 'Pillowtalk' about Perrie and not Gigi?

Okay, so everything is happening pretty fast these past few weeks.

Zayn and Gigi met, they made a music video for 'Pillowtalk' together and Zayn even confirmed that they are dating. With all of that said, you believe that 'Pillowtalk' is about Gigi, right?

-Wrong!

In recent interview Zayn actually hinted that 'Pillowtalk' is actually about Perrie Edwards and not Gigi Hadid.

"Basically, I wrote that shortly after I left the band," Zayn said

As we all know Zayn left One Direction on March 25 and his engagement with Perrie ended in late July-early August . 

Zayn continued, "We wrote that song around the time that I was feeling these emotions, shall we say, and I feel like that's why it came out the way it did. I feel like in the vocal you can get a sense that I'm meaning what I'm saying."

He was hesitant to reveal too many details about the song's meaning or inspiration.. 

"I don't want to be too specific about what it's about," he said. "That is obviously quite personal to me. People can figure it out for themselves."

Wow..
