Since pretty much the first moment One Direction fans learned of her existence i.e. when news of her Louis Tomlinson-induced pregnancy broke — the Internet at-large has not been kind to Briana Jungwirth. One Direction fans have never taken particularly kindly to those involved in their loves' sex lives, and Briana suffered the collective wrath of those enamored with Louis and/or Larry (two powerful fandom groups). It didn't take long for her to go dark entirely, at least as far as publicly-identifiable social media profiles go.
The cyber-harassment has extended to her family and friends also, and particularly intensified in the weeks since she gave birth to lil' Freddie, the literal Tomlin-son. The apparently legitimate photo of Briana and Freddie pictured above, courtesy of a @BrianaNews Twitter account (yes, such an account exists), is believed to have been ripped from a private Instagram account fervent fans have managed to track down; Freddie's birth was first confirmed after folks badgered Briana's grandmother on Instagram again, which is insane but also props to her grandma for understanding social media, I suppose?
So in near-inevitable news, and citing a family source, The Daily Mail reports the Jungwirths are taking legal action to curb the trolls, though it's not clear on exactly what grounds. "It has been an onslaught," an unnamed family member explained. "The fans are attacking and breaking in to our social media profiles, trying to get our passwords, [and] calling our homes at all hours of the day and night." In addition to fake Briana accounts set up all over, fans are sharing her family's personal information. "'We have tried to ignore much of it, but recently some fans have crossed the line and we have instructed attorneys to get involved," the family member continued. "When somebody starts getting belligerent then that's when the attorneys get involved."
